Prime Minister Shinzo Abe - Japan will provide ODA for Hoa Lac Hi-tech Park Projects

Besides ASEAN Conference 28-29 and the related Conference in Vientiane (Laos), on 7/9, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc had talks with Mr. Shinzo Abe - Japanese Prime Minister and Mr. John Key - New Zealand Prime Minister.

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe expressed satisfaction at the comprehensive development of Strategic Partnership between Vietnam and Japan. The two leaders agreed to continue to implement measures to give developing partnerships more substantially in the near future.

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc appreciated the positive support and the effectiveness of Japan for Vietnam in the process of socio-economic development, especially in supporting Vietnam to strengthen competitiveness, improve investment environment, respond to climate change.

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc suggested Japan continues ODA priorities, expand investment and promote trade with Vietnam, continues to support Vietnam access to concessional resources of the World Bank's IDA after 2017.

Japanese Prime Minister confirmed that in the near future, Japan will continue to support Vietnam's sustainable development; will continue to prioritize the allocation of ODA for Vietnam, which will provide ODA for 2 projects to cope with climate change and the infrastructure development of Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park; encourage and create favorable conditions for Japanese enterprises, especially enterprises about high technologies, investment in Vietnam.

At the meeting between Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and New Zealand Prime Minister John Key, two leaders respected Vietnam-New Zealand Partnership; agreed to continue close cooperation in order to better exploit the potential of cooperation, bringing bilateral in the future.

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc suggested the two sides to promote the efficiency of bilateral cooperation mechanisms, specific plans to implement the Comprehensive Partnership on all the areas in 3-5 years to which boost economic cooperation, trade and investment.

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc also suggested that New Zealand continues to support Vietnam to develop high-quality human resources, increase educational scholarships, increasing the number of workers involved in the Vietnam Labor Holiday program in New Zealand ... New Zealand Prime Minister wants to share their experiences of sustainable agricultural development, support Vietnam in the operation to adapt to climate change, management and sustainable use of natural resources.

Prime Minister John Key confirmed New Zealand will cooperate closely with Vietnam, especially in economics, trade and investment in the context of the two countries which are members of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP). Vietnam has suitable climatic conditions for agricultural development, and New Zealand strongly supports Vietnam about experience and technology to develop the food industry, milk. Prime Minister John Key noted the proposal on market access for fruits, Viet Nam agricultural products.

On regional issues, the two leaders stressed the importance of maintaining peace, security and cooperation in the South Sea on the basis of international law and the UN Convention Law of the Sea in 1982; agreed to continue to coordinate efforts in promoting these goals.
